Dhaka – Chief Advisor of the interim government, Muhammad Yunus, cast his vote at the Gulshan Model High School and College center in the capital, Dhaka.

“From today, we have the opportunity to create a new Bangladesh in every sphere. Today, we will celebrate throughout the day like a birthday,” he told journalists after voting.

He urged everyone to celebrate and, most importantly, to participate in the referendum. While votes for individual candidates are important, he emphasized that the referendum is extremely crucial, calling on all citizens to take part in rebuilding a new Bangladesh.

“Today is a day of joy for everyone in Bangladesh. A day of liberation. The end of our nightmare, the beginning of a new dream. I congratulate everyone. Eid Mubarak,” he said.
