Dhaka – Amid rumors over changes to public office hours, the government on Thursday requested the people not to be misled by the spread of misinformation.
The Ministry of Public Administration dismissed claims that there was a plan to operate offices three days a week to save electricity and energy, stating that were untrue.
A notification claiming changes in government office schedules, including a plan to operate offices three days a week to save electricity and energy, had been circulating on social media on Wednesday.
An official handout on Thursday confirmed that no such notification had been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.
The ministry urged the public not to be confused by the misleading information, the handout added.
