Dhaka – Australia hauled three wickets before they go for launch Monday on the second test match against Bangladesh that began in Zahur Ahmed Stadium in Bangladesh’s south-eastern city of Chittagong.
Bangladesh won the toss and chose to field first. But their beginning was poor with Tamim Iqbal was trapped in LBW when the home side gathered only 13 runs. Imrul Kayesh followed his path and was out when Bangladesh reached 21.
Tamim scored nine runs while Imrul four.
Soumya Sarkar was also trapped in LBW and out with a personal score 33 runs, comparatively a good one as he was criticized for his poor performance in the first test against Australia in Dhaka.
Mominul Haque remained unbeaten with 24 runs.
Australia successfully has managed to break the partnership between Soumya and Mominul. They reached 49 runs before Soumya was dismissed.
