S.M Tahmina, a woman with many feathers on her cap, has added yet another one by winning the  prestigious GLOBAL TEACHER AWARD 2020 AKS Education Awards for her remarkable contributions in teaching-learning. She had completed Masters in English from Asian University of Bangladesh. She was trained in Education.

She joined the teaching profession in the year 2000.  Her current affiliation is the Assistant Head Teacher at GK Model High School, Gazipur. She also plays a significant role in student counseling.  Earlier she had served in four different educational institutes and gathered lot of experience. She works as Head Examiner, Master Trainer in English, ICT subjects under SESIP and DSHE, ICT 4E Ambassador of Aspire to Innovations [A2I] under ICT division and International School Coordinator.  She has the experience of working in Curriculum Dissemination and implementation program of SESIP under NCTB

She is also a School Ambassador of British Council, Bangladesh, Alumni of the US Department of States, MIE Expert in Microsoft and district coordinator of GEIST International Foundation.

SM Tahmina delivered oral presentations in the international conferences in Bangladesh, U.S.A., Vietnam, India, and Nepal. She has the expertise in delivering presentations in several International conferences like Global Summit on Education, International STEAM Conference, Global Teachers’ Meet & Global Leaders in Education summit.  She has a wide range of experience in working with national & International organizations.

She was awarded the best Teacher Award in the district level for two consecutive years – 2016-2017. Under her leadership, her schools had won the most prestigious International School Award of British Council for two times. The School also achieved the honor in the Commonwealth Science Class Competition of British Council under her mentorship.
