Dhaka – A suspected bandit was lynched in central Bangladeshi district of Tangail on Monday, police said.

Three more suspects were wounded as the villagers beat them early hours of the day at Sholakura village of Ghatail sub-district. The dacoits were handed over to the local police, said officer Kamal Hossain.

The officer quoting local residents said that the bandits were captured by the villagers when they tried to loot valuables from one of the villagers in Dhalapara Union.

One of the suspected bandits was killed on the scene while three others were taken into custody, Hossain said.
