Singapore detects six Bangladeshi with Zika infection

Singapore – At least six Bangladeshi nationals were reported with Zika virus infection in Singapore, the country’s top envoy in the South East Asian nation was informed Thursday.
According to a report by The Straits Times the men were tested positive.
“We have been informed on Wednesday by the Ministry of Health that of those tested positive (with the virus), as of 12 noon on 30 August, 6 are Bangladeshi nationals,” said Mahbub Uz Zaman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Singapore.
The patients have had “mild symptoms, and have either recovered or recovering,” he said.
“We are in touch with the Ministry of Health.”
The identities of the six infected people were not disclosed yet.
