Dhaka – A Rajshahi University teacher has been found dead at her apartment on the campus on Friday, police said.

Akhtar Jahan Joly, an associate professor of Mass Communication and Journalism department, was found dead inside Jubery Bhaban, bachelors’ quarter of the university.

She used to live in room 303. Her body was found on the bed in her room around 5 pm, Proctor Mujibul Haque Azad Khan.

It was no clear immediately as to how she was died.

“We cannot say anything about her death without forensic reports,” the proctor added.

The body was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where her autopsy will be conducted.

Joly was scheduled to go to Dhaka Friday.
