Dhaka- The customs officials have confiscated an illegally imported robot and several spy devices at Bangladesh’s main airport, officials said on Monday.

Director General of Bangladesh customs intelligence Moinul Islam, said the “healthcare robot” and “spying devices” were confiscated at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport as those devices were imported illegally.

The importer showed those elements as toys.

Smart watches (with SIM card slots), mini digital cameras and pen cameras and some networking devices were also seized, said the officer adding that an investigation was launched into the false declaration by the importer.

None was, however, arrested in this connection.
