Plant a Tree, An initiative by JCI Dhaka West during the month of World Environment Day and in memory of the recent demise 2021 Local Secretary-General of that local chapter Syeda Nishat Naila was held in 20th June, 2021. In this initiative, JCI Dhaka West has distributed as well as planted 5 types of trees for around 200 families of Sadullahpur, Golap Gram, Savar, Dhaka.

During the event JCI Dhaka West local president Taha Yeasin Ramadan, Executive Vice President Md. Altamis Nabil, General Legal Counsel Nur Mohammad Ali, General Member Shihak Uddin, Nazib Rafe, Bidrohi Dipon was present.

As National tree plantation campaign kicks off earlier this month, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina urged the people to plant more trees to protect Bangladesh from the adverse impacts of climate change.

JCI is a non-profit international non-governmental organisation comprising young icons aged between 18 and 40 years who work to create a positive impact on society. It has members in more than 120 countries. In Bangladesh, JCI is working with 14 local chapters. JCI Dhaka West is one of its founding chapters.
