Dhaka: North South University acting Pro-VC Gias Uddin Ahsan has been suspended on Monday.

Belal Ahmed, the university’s deputy director of public relations, confirmed newsnextbd.com about Gias’s suspension.

Belal said the suspension order will remain effective until further notice.

Police on Saturday arrested three people, including North South University’s (NSU) acting pro-VC Dr Gias Uddin Ahsan, for renting out a flat to the attackers of Holey Artisan Bakery.

On Sunday, A Dhaka court granted an 8-day remand for four persons arrested including Gias over Holey Artisan Bakery attack.
