The Ministry of Information has granted registration to Newsnextbd.com under its new rules of operation for news portals from some 3,000 such ventures as part of “Digital Bangladesh.”

Along with Newxnexbd.com  50 others also got the government approval in the second list published by the ministry on its website on Saturday.

Nazrul Islam, also the Bangladesh Correspondent of the German news agency DPA,  is the founding editor of the news portal which started its journey in 2014.

He said on getting registration “We will follow the rules laid down by the government in our operation and will uphold professionalism. I thank the Ministry of Information for this approval.”
