Dhaka – The Muslims in Bangladesh will begin fasting month of Ramadan from Sunday as the moon for the Arabic month was not seen in any part of the country on Friday.
The moon-sighting committee of the Islamic Foundation reported that the moon of the month of Ramadan could not be seen in Bangladesh.
Therefore, the month of Ramadan will begin on Sunday in this part of the world, according to a press release of the foundation.
The Muslims will have their Sehri on the early hours of Sunday to begin the fasting to practice self restrain.
The Muslims across the world observe fasting between wee hours of to the sunset everyday as part Islamic practice. They celebrate the Eid-al-Fitr festival after the month of fasting.
