Dhaka – Two sisters and one brother are reported to have killed by his elder brother in central Bangladeshi district of Narsingdi, said police on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at Alokabali char area near the River Meghna in Sadar sub-district in the early hours of day, leaving three siblings dead, officer Salauddin said.
20-year-old Rubel Mia strangulated three of his siblings – 10-year-old Yasin, 7-year-old Mariam, and 5-year-old Mahia over a family feud at 12:15am in the area, nearly 52 away from the capital Dhaka, he said.
The suspected killer and the victims were the children of Abu Kalam Mia, hailed from Purbapara village in Alokbali of the sub-district, he added.
Rubel hacked also another brother Atiqur, and fled the scene immediately, the officer said.
Police rushed to the spot on information, recovered the bodies and sent them to Narsingdi General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The lawmen have launched investigation in connection with the triple murder and are trying to arrest the suspect soon, Salauddin said.
