Dhaka – A fire broke out on Sunday at one of the largest shopping malls in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, firefighters said.
The reason of the fire at broke out at the fifth floor of Basundhara City at Panthapath could not be known immediately.
Ten firefighting units have been trying to douse the flame as smoke were seen coming out of the multi-storyed building located at the centre of the city.
The firefighters could not confirm yet whether anyone trapped inside the building or not.
Earlier on March 13, 2009, seven people were killed and 20 others were injured in a fire that broke out in Bashundhara City shopping complex.
