Dhaka – The government has decided to shut all educational institutes across Bangladesh for nearly half a month from Wednesday in the wake of global coronavirus pandemic, an official said on Monday.
An order to this effect will be circulated later in the day,
deputy minister for education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury said.
The closure will be effective from March 18 (Wednesday) since March 17 (Tuesday) is a public holiday, and initially will be remain in force until March 31.
Dhaka University authorities have decided to suspend all
classes and exams until March 28.
Akhteruzzaman, the vice chancellor of the university said two major job of the university – holding classes and conducting exams – will be suspended until March 28.
All dormitories will be remain open during this period, the university authorities said.
