Education for Global Citizenship or Globalizations is one of the major skills of learning which needs to be imparted among the young learners in order to prepare them to face the future challenges and to reach the SDGs through quality education.

Students should have language efficiency, critical thinking, creativity and imagination, communication and collaboration, citizenship adaptability, employability, moral, social commitment, health, leadership and digital literacy which are the major skills of learning in the present context.

Acquiring the skill become a key issue as the governments and parents seek more effective education that will develop learners well-equipped for the 21st century.

Teachers and students need to be aware and updated with the changing demand in the global village. We should be familiar with the global trend and able to face the challenges in order to make a meaningful life.

Students must be acquainted with the global trend of teaching-learning. It is very important to create a sense of internationalism among the learners as they will take charge of future leadership.

Global language learning is the key factor to develop citizenship, leadership skills and to maintain networking. In the present global context, English is not only an international language but also it has become a technology. Technology and English language have a close relationship as they contribute significantly for successful use of each other in the digital era.

English language promotes the spread of technology in all recess of our lives. So, the language should be taught and learned effectively.

Project-based learning programs based on curriculum and sharing with national international partner schools can promote citizenship skills.  Teachers and students are benefited by sharing best practices developing collaborative and non-collaborative activities dealing with global issues. Students can take the lead joining the schooling activities.

It helps young people develop knowledge, skills, and multicultural values to live and work in a global setting. They can be connected easily in different parts of the world and can share learning issues and remain updated.

The students must be taught multicultural values and diverse culture in the school. Multicultural education creates equity in education for all students regardless of culture and it strives to remove barriers to educational opportunities and success for students from different cultural backgrounds. Teacher’s education and teachers’ positive attitudes towards multicultural education have a great role, to be peaceful and respectful, to accept all identities with their cultural properties without fear of a country’s culture which is very important to build up the mindset of the young learners.

Encouraging digital and virtual education can promote globalization. Every aspect of life is getting online in the present world. Jobs are online, so is the education. It has become the demand of the time.  Online education has got huge advantages that help students to learn, develop their faculty, and networking with national and international partners.

It provides great opportunities for students to study effectively and to learn going beyond borders. Online courses also offer great benefits for teachers and students to develop a sense of globalization.

Higher Education and exchange programs of teachers and students are also very important to create a sense of Internationalism and Globalization among the learners.

Open curriculum is also important which helps develop self-awareness of one’s own identity, culture, beliefs and connect with the wider world, social awareness including empathy, perspective-taking, appreciating diversity and respecting others and relationship building skills with diverse individuals and groups. This kind of optimal education will shape a student to become a global citizen.

Visa flexibility, free visa, and on arrival visa can develop globalization and promote human peace and aspects. Travel and tourism can also have a significant impact in this regard.

Open curriculum helps develop self-awareness of one’s identity, culture, beliefs and how those connect with the wider world, social awareness including empathy, perspective-taking, appreciating diversity and respecting others and relationship-building skills with diverse individuals and groups.

Environmental study and being concerned with the issues of climate change can improve the thought of globalization. Climate change is perhaps the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced. It has not only affected one nation or region; it has effects on the Earth.

Global peace is the desired goal of humanity. People worldwide have been facing several problems like-human conflict, environmental crisis, political crisis that hinder peace and harmony.

Today, we live in a smaller village all connected by the internet. So, we have the responsibility to make a meaningful life and to build a beautiful and safer world for all.

The great South African leader Nelson Mandela said- ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’

Education integrates people into humanity and teach them values and morals. The young learners are the future leaders of the world who must be taught quality to develop a sense of globalization to end disparity and discrimination.

The adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 4- Ensuring Quality Education by 2030 set by the UN is the key to the achievement of all issues. It will create awareness of global challenges and develop a deeper understanding of the complex underlying issues thereby changing people’s attitudes and encourages them to reflect on their own role in the world.
