BBIN business exposition next month in Siliguri

Dhaka – Four South Asian countries will organise a business exposition in the Indian city of Siliguri next month to enhance trade among the countries, officials said on Monday.

The three-day exposition, to be participated by apex business bodies of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal, will be launch a day after the opening of the business forum in Kolkata, the capital on Indian state of West Bengal.

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Abdul Matlub Ahmed today told journalists at a press conference.

“The businessmen of the four countries will exhibit their goods under the same roof during the three-day gathering,” he added.

FBCCI and Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) are jointly organising the exhibition.

Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) will also take part in the expo, he said.

FBCCI will send a 55-member delegation.

On the sidelines of the exposition, seminars on business cooperation will be organised for better understanding of the inter-state trade and commerce.
