Bangladesh has reported the lowest single-day Covid-19 deaths of 41 in five weeks, according to a health ministry press release.
With the latest fatalities reported in the last 24 hours ended on Thursday morning, the death toll from the novel coronavirus rose to 11,796 since the virus reported in Bangladesh in March last year.
The death rate was reported 1.53 per cent.
Some 1,822 new infections were also reported during the period, making the Covid-19 caseloads to 769,160, the release said adding that the current positivity rate is 8.44 per cent.
The total positivity rate is 13.78 percent.
Some 21,585 samples were tested across in the country in 24 hours.
The recovery count stands at 702,163 with some 3,698 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
Among the 41 deceased, 22 were men and 19 were women.
