Dhaka – The authorities have filed a case against unknown persons over the pelting of stone on one of the Metro rail coaches, damaging a window glass of the carriage, officials said on Tuesday.

The police, however, could not trace anyone involved in the incident that occurred on Sunday near Kazipara station in Mirpur. An official at the Metro rail authority logged the case with local police station Kafrul.

According to the case documents, damage worth about Tk 10 lakh was caused due to the incident.

Meanwhile, a court in Dhaka on Tuesday asked the investigators to submit report on the incident on June 7.  

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shanto Islam Mollik passed the order, accepting the first information report in the case.
