A noted Bangladeshi actor Sadek Bachchu has died at a hospital at the age of 65 in Dhaka, family members said on Monday.
Bachchu, who was Covid-19 positive, breathed his last at the Universal Medical College Hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment for nearly a week, said his wife Shahana.
The award winning actor, who’s original name was Mahbub Ahmed Sadek, worked for a number of cinema and television drama serial. He began his career with radio and theatre in the early 1960s, and his first television drama was “Prothom Angeekar” in 1974.
He was honoured with National Film Awards for his performance in “Ekti Cinemar Golpo” in 2018.
