Dhaka – Bangladesh on Monday reported three more deaths of novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the death toll to 12.
The country also reported 35 more fresh infections, making the total number of infections to 123, said health official Abul Kala Azad.
Azad’s version on death toll came hours after the health minister, Zahid Maleque, said four people died in the last 24 hours ended on Monday morning. Confusion over name was blamed for the number, Azad, the director general of the health services, said.
The South Asian country reported its first three cases of novel coronavirus on March 8.
