Bangladesh reports no Covid-19 infection in 24 hours

Dhaka- Bangladesh has said no new case of novel coronavirus infection was found in the last 24 hours ending Saturday morning.

Rather, four Covid-19 patients improved and left hospital during the same period raising the number of patients recovered and left hospital to 15, said Meerjady Sabrina Flora, the director of state-run Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research.

The country has reported a total of 48 infections since the first cases were detected on March 8.  Five persons were died

“We observed that recovered COVID-19 infected patients have taken maximum 16 days for their recovery…. we have given treatments to the coronavirus infected patients as per their symptoms,” Flora said.

“Among the recovered patients, one has kidney ailments. We have provided kidney dialysis alongside other necessary treatments for his recovery,” she added.

IEDCR teams are collecting samples from different hospitals for confirming coronavirus cases.
