Dhaka – Bangladesh on Thursday reported five more cases of novel coronavirus, raising the total number of patient to 44, an official said.
Among them, one person has foreign travel history and three are family members of previously infected persons. The history of the fifth infected person could not be known, said Meerjady Sabrina Flora of the director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research.
All the infected people are male and are between the age group of 30 and 60, she said. The IECDR director suggested all those who recently left Dhaka for their ancestral home to remain in quarantine.
Bangladesh began nationwide travel restriction on Thursday to spread of the virus.
