Dhaka – One of the two China-returned Bangladeshi students, who has been suffering from high fever, is being taken to a specialized hospital dealing with coronavirus symptoms in Dhaka, physicians said on Monday.
The condition of the other student was improving, said Narayan Chandra, an associate professor of medicine department of Rangpur Medical College Hospital said in northern Rangpur ciy.
The physician said the student who returned home from China on February 7 fell sick at his village home in Kaliganj of the northern Lalmonirhat district. He was transported to a quarantine unit of the Rangpur Medical College Hospital on February 9 suspecting that the student might have contacted the coronavirus.
Chandra said the student will be transported to Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka as per the decision of the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) and the medical board that examined the student.
The physician said the student is named Al Amin.
He said the experts from IEDCR will give the final decision on his situation.
