Eight Bangladeshi students to join education leadership programme in Vietnam in August

Dhaka – The second International Leadership program on Education -2019 was held on Monday in two separate venues in Dhaka, according to a press release.

Global Educators Initiative for Sustainable Transformation [GEIST] innovation and Leadership Center [GILC] organized the event.

The program, which focuses promoting leadership and enhancing English language skills among the students, is an international competition on English language and leadership designed and implemented by GEIST International Foundation.  

Ambassador of Vietnam Tran Van Khoa attended the event as chief guest while Vice-Chancellor of  United International University  Chowdhury Mofizur Rahman was present as special guest with GEIST president Bilpob Kumar Deb  in the chair. 

Nearly 150 students attended the day-long intensive workshop, meet, debate and Language fluency tests at American Center and United International University in the capital. 

Participants had to undergo a test on education, panel discussion and presentation based on English and global aspects.

Eight students will be selected to represent Bangladesh in the Leadership Program on Education-2019 scheduled to be held in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi on August 8 and 9.

The participant’s will also have the opportunity to join an International Conference on Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics in Vietnam.    

Earlier several thousand students took part in the preliminary round in eight divisions of the country in phases. Of them the selected students joined the second round in the capital.

The Vietnam ambassador said, youth engagement is very important for any development. Globalization, Leaderships and networking are the major skills of the present world that need to be imparted among the students in order to prepare them to face the challenges of the earth.

It’s a great initiative and exchange program between the teachers and students of the two countries.

It will enrich the teaching learning and ensure the quality and sustainable education and brotherhood of both the countries, he added.
