Dhaka – More than a dozen people have been killed in road accidents in different places of Bangladesh during the Eid-day on Wednesday, police said.
Reports reached from central district of Narshingdi, Faridpur and Tangail, northern Lalmonirhat, south-western Jhenidah say at least 14 people were killed in those accidents.
Nearly 50 others have sustained injuries.
Four people were killed when a passenger bus hit a tree on Dhaka-Khulna highway while three others killed in Lalmonirhat district after a van fell in a roadside ditch.
Two bikers were killed when a motorbike skidded off the road in Jhenidah while two others were killed after a pick-up van collided head-on with a speeding bus in Tangail.
Three people died in two accidents in Narsingdi.
