Dhaka – Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has scrapped licenses of two more food items manufactured by two companies as those products are reported sub-standard.
The BSTI in a press statement said on Thursday that the licenses of Pure Hathazari Maricher Gura of SS Consumer Products (Chattogram) and Kiran Lachchha Seemai of M/S Kiran Products of Naogaon were scrapped.
The products are among 52 food items that have been found substandard by BSTI.
On Wednesday BSTI scrapped licenses of seven products and suspended the license of 18 food products of different companies for the same issue.
The state-run agency earlier served a show-cause notice to the companies of 52 brands while the High Court asked the authorities concerned to take appropriate measures to ensure public health.
