Dhaka – Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have condemned the senseless attacks on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka that killed more than 150 people and wounded many others on Sunday.
The Bangladeshi leaders expressed profound sympathy to the government and the people of Sri Lanka after the deadly attacks.
“We are deeply shocked to learn the blast incidents in Sri Lanka. We strongly condemn this heinous act of terrorism,” Hamid said in a condolence message.
He also conveyed his heartfelt condolences for the loss of lives at the incidents and prayed for the early recovery of those injured, the message added.
Prime Minister Hasina, who is now on a three-day official visit to Brunei, also offered deep condolences at the casualties of a number of people in the series of blasts.
She prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and wished early recovery of the injured people. Hasina expressed profound sympathy to the government and the people of Sri Lanka.
