Bangladeshi hajj pilgrim dies in Saudi Arabia 

Medina- A Bangladeshi pilgrim has died of heart attack in Saudi Arabia as he arrived in Median to perform the Muslim ritual, officials said on Wednesday.

The .pilgrim was identified as Rehan Uddin, 72, Kashkama  village in Anwara of Chittagong district.

Medina Hajj official Hamidur Rahman said Rehan Uddin died of a cardiac attack at about 4:30pm (Saudi time) adding that his passport number is BK 0204691 and identity (ID) card number is 0376208.

Foreign ministry said four pilgrims from Bangladesh died in Saudi Arabia so far. Two of them died in Mecca, while one in Medina and another in Jeddah, said the officials.

More than 100,000 Bangladeshi pilgrims are expected to perform the hajj. Bangladesh’s first hajj flight left Dhaka for Riyadh on August, 4.

The return hajj flight is scheduled to begin on 17 September.
