Dhaka – Bangladeshi security forces have arrested 11 persons suspected of funding militancy, police said on Saturday.
Acting on tip information, Rapid Action Battalion arrested these people from Dhaka, Khulna and Rajshahi, said Mufti Mahmud Khan, spokesman of the battalion told reports.
Eight out of them were picked up from Dhaka, two from Khulna and one form Rajshahi.
The battalion spokesman said that they unearthed an IT firm in Dhaka’s Mirpur, manned by former workers of a similar firm banned for terror financing after its head was killed in Syria in 2015, was involved in the terror financing
The government banned the software company iBacs Ltd after its chairman Saiful Haque Sujon was killed on December 10, 2015.
