Dhaka- Bangladesh Nationalist Party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday said that the apparent peaceful election in Narayanganj is reflection of his party’s movement for fair elections.
The election is seemed to be fair, but we need to go inside to see what actually happened.
“So we will investigate what happens internally and is hidden under cover. After the completion of the probe, we will come up with the issue completely,” Fakhrul said
The BNP leader made the remarks after visiting Mahmudur Rahman Manna, a civic group leader, at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in the capital.
Manna has been hospitalized after he was released from Dhaka Central Jail on Sunday.
He said ‘‘Rahman is a popular and courageous leader in the country and has been kept in jail for 22 months by some false cases.’’
