Dhaka – At least six people were killed and few others wounded after a passenger vehicle rammed into a bus in central Bangladesh district of Gazipur,, said police on Saturday.
The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Tangail highway near the Bhawal Badre Alam Government College in the morning, leaving six passengers of a locally made vehicle Leguna killed on the scene, Officer Emran Hossain said.
Six others injured are now undergoing treatment at Shaheed Tajuddin Medical College Hospital.
Lawmen seized both of the vehicles but the drivers managed to flee the scene immediately, said Hossain.
The body of the deceased people was kept at Gazipur General Hospital morgue.
