Army troopers, the country’s frontline soldiers, is continuing operations contain the spread of COVID-19 across Bangladesh even after the number of new cases is showing a downward trend, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Thousands of army men and women were deployed soon after coronavirus was detected in Bangladesh on 8 March 20.
They are campaigning to ensure people wore face masks and maintained social distance, besides distributing food from their allotted ration.
A number of troopers died after being infected by the deadly virus.
