Trump vows massive taxes on goods from Mexico, Canada and China

The US President-elect Donald Trump has promised to hike massive tariff on goods coming from two next door neighbours – Canada and Mexico – and China, a rival in the Far East, on the first day of his administration.

His move, once comes into effect, is believed to sharply increase the cost of American business and consumers, according to broadcaster CNN.

Trump on Monday announced his policy through Social Truth platform  in retaliation for illegal migration and “crimes and drugs’ coming across the border.

“On January 20th, as one of my many first Executive Orders, I will sign all necessary documents to charge Mexico and Canada a 25% Tariff on ALL products coming into the United States, and its ridiculous Open Borders,” Trump was quoted by the CNN referring to the social platform.

This tariff will remain in effect until such time as Drugs, in particular Fentanyl, and all Illegal Aliens stop this Invasion to the United States, he said.

He added that his neighbours could easily solve this long-standing problem.

On China, he said, that the Far Eastern country would face higher tariff on its goods by 10 per cent above any existing tariffs until it prevents the flow of illegal drugs into the United States.

“I have had many talks with China about the massive amounts of drugs, in particular Fentanyl, being sent into the United States – But to no avail,” Trump says.

Trump, who won the November 6 election for the second tenure, will assume White House on January 20.

He claimed in his post that Chinese officials promised him the country would execute drug dealers caught funneling drugs into the United States but “never followed through.”
