Chandpur – At least 15 people have been suffering burn injuries after a fire broke out from a tank-lorry carrying oil in southern Bangladeshi district of Chandpur, said fire service officials on Thursday.
The incident occurred at 12:30 near a store house of state-run Jamuna Oil agency of the towns Bangabandhu road of the district.
Of the injured, eight are identified as Mizanur Rahman, owner of the local oil agency, Nur Mohammad,21,Raihan,23,Mijanur Rahman,50,Badsha,50,Masud Hosain,28,Belal,35.
Chandpur Fire Service and Civil Defence official Faruk Ahmed said the firefighters doused the blaze at nearly 3am.
The damage caused by the fire could not be ascertained immediately, said officer Faruk.
