North South University teacher goes missing

Dhaka – An assistant professor of private North South University has reportedly gone missing, family of the teacher said on Wednesday.

Mubashar Hasan, a teacher of political science and sociology department at the university, could not be traced since Tuesday afternoon, said his uncle Manzur Hossain.

“His mobile phone is switched off. if anybody has any clue, please let us know,” Hossain wrote in a Facebook post.

Mubashar’s father Motahar Hossain filed the general diary with Khilgaon Police Station seeking his whereabouts. Police has no clue yet.

Friends and well wishers discussed about his missing in the social media wishing his safe return.

Mubashar left his home in the morning Tuesday for the university. But his mobile phone remained switched off since afternoon.

Mubashar Hasan, graduated in Mass Communication and Journalism from Dhaka university, is also the founder of an online platform alochonaa.com that generates debate on issues related to society and politics. He perused his higher studies in United Kingdom and Australia.
