Dhaka – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who has been recovering fast after gallbladder operation in the United States, will now come back home on October 5, two days after her rescheduled return.
State-run Bangladesh Sangbad Sangtha reported quoting an official the Prime Minister’s return was rescheduled once again to October 7. Earlier her return was rescheduled to October 5 from original plan of October 2.
“The prime minister is now well and she is keeping round-the-clock contact with her office in Dhaka,” her press secretary Ihsanul Karim told the news agency.
Hasina underwent a successful gallbladder surgery at a Washington hospital on September 25.
She travelled to Washington DC from New York on September 22 after attending the 72nd United Nations General Assembly session.
She left Dhaka for New York on September 16 to join the UN’s annual event.
