Dhaka – Seven Bangladeshi nationals have returned home from India after they served two years of jail term, said officials on Friday.
Indian immigration police handed the seven including two women to the Bangladesh police on Thursday night, said officer Iqbal Hossain.
They were identified as Laboni Khatun, Marufa Khatun, Didar Ali, Rashed Mia, Sharif Ali, Rakib Hossain, and Sohel Mia.
Earlier, all seven were arrested by Indian police from Kolkata as they entered the country in search of jobs without legal documents three years ago, he said.
They were brought back as the home ministry intervened, said the officer.
