Dhaka – Two suspected bandits were reportedly killed during a ‘gunfight’ between two factions of the local gang in central Bangladeshi district of Faridpur, said police on Thursday.
The gun battle occurred at Pearpur village under Kaijuri Union in Sadar sub-district of the district at the early hours of the day, leaving two unidentified dacoits dead, said the officer Nazim Uddin.
He said the law enforcers rushed to the area following information that two groups of the robbers were locked in gunfight.
The lawmen fired guns at the area to disperse the bandit groups while the dacoits managed to flee the scene immediately, said the officer, adding that two bullet-riddled bodies were found at the spot.
The officer said that the ages of dead robbers were between 30 and 35 years.
The law enforcers seized firearms, homemade bombs and bullets from the spot, he said.
